Control Systems, Inc. (CSI) is currently seeking licensed Fire Sprinkler Fitter Technicians to join our dynamic team. We are searching for dependable and mechanically inclined Sprinkler Professionals who specialize in the lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. Your expertise will be crucial in executing projects efficiently and exceeding customer expectations. Read and interpret engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints and plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
Calculate material measurements, select pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports and hangers, for layout and installation.
Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe connection using threaded, soldered, brazed, or grooved joints and utilizing a variety of hand tools according to specifications.
Examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods.
Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings
Remove and replace defective or outdated components.
Install hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps
Complete required paperwork/reports on each job including daily time, progress, duration, record of parts, material, labor, subs, returns, and other cost data per assignment.
Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Helpers on proper repair and service techniques.
High school diploma/GED
Minimum of 5 years of fire sprinkler fitter experience.
Must have knowledge of Wet, Dry, Fire Pumps, Pre-action, Deluge, Antifreeze Loops, backflows, etc,
Full working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as state and local codes.
Backflow Certified preferred - not required.
Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Must be able to lift 10-50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
May be required to use ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, fork trucks and other equipment.
Ability to climb and work at heights and in small or confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
Able to work outdoors in temperature changes and weather conditions or challenging work environments.
Able to work overtime and weekends as required by the workload.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.
