Overview

The Fire Alarm Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fire alarm service department, including scheduling, dispatch, customer service, compliance, and quality control. This role includes managing all fire alarm service technicians, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to code. The manager also serves as the primary liaison between technicians, clients, and upper management, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support all fire alarm service technicians.
  • Schedule and coordinate inspections, repairs, and emergency calls.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes and local regulations.
  • Handle customer issues and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor technician performance and provide training as needed.
  • Approve service reports, timesheets, and maintain accurate records.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales and other departments on service opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fire alarm systems service and repair.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes (especially NFPA 72), local fire codes, and relevant regulations.
  • NICET certification in fire alarm systems (Level II or higher preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with service management software, scheduling tools, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to lead and motivate field technicians with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.

Posted Salary Range

USD $105,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
