Control Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative to join our team in Tampa. This role involves expanding client relationships and increasing sales volume in construction management, general contracting, subcontracting, industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
- Develop new client relationships to expand sales volume within the construction industry, adhering to corporate guidelines.
- Maintain and nurture client relationships to grow the customer base and increase sales volume.
- Prepare detailed proposals and specifications outlining the scope of work and exclusions for fire sprinkler systems.
- Research subcontractor needs, obtain competitive quotations, and compile comprehensive proposals for fire sprinkler installations.
- Collaborate with design, construction, manufacturing, and project management teams for efficient project execution.
- Identify and secure additional contract extras in alignment with project profit objectives.
- Participate in decision-making processes during the contract duration, working closely with project managers and designers.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Conduct surveys of buildings and review pipe locations to gather necessary information for accurate job estimates.
- Investigate market trends and fluctuations in the fire protection industry to inform strategic decisions.
- Foster client relationships through networking events outside of standard business hours.
- Maintain a dependable personal vehicle for business travel.
- Participate in relevant industry associations to enhance career development and company recognition.
- Collaborate with other divisions within the company to expand the customer base.
- High School Diploma; College Degree Preferred (Bachelor's).
- Proficiency in methods, materials, codes, and engineering related to fire protection.
- Familiarity with NFPA Codes and Building Codes.
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
- Must be located within the United States and able to commute to the office and job sites as required.
- Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial but not required.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background verification check.
- Valid driver's license
