Overview

Control Systems Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to assist with safety protocols and workplace safety for our commercial low-voltage projects. In this role, you will work closely with our team to promote safe practices and policies, ensuring safe working conditions for our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Control Systems Inc.’s safety policies.
  • Enforce and implement company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist Project Managers and Field Supervision with safety-related tasks.
  • Monitor jobsite safety and implement OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting incident investigations and reporting.
  • Coordinate and deliver employee safety training, including field safety orientation, safe work standards, and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSP) that address safety procedures, hazards, and protocols.
  • Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSA), identifying specific job tasks and outlining safe work procedures to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Safety experience within the construction industry, ideally with low-voltage or electrical projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Knowledge of Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems, risk assessments, and hazard identification techniques.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to assess complex situations.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screening.

Posted Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
