Control Systems Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting the successful execution of commercial low-voltage construction projects, including fire alarm, security, access control, and life safety systems.
In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager and operations team to help plan, organize, and track multiple projects from start to finish. This position is based in our Columbus office and requires onsite work; remote work is not available. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Support the Project Manager in coordinating and tracking commercial low-voltage installation projects
Assist with project scheduling, task tracking, and project documentation
Procure materials and coordinate equipment deliveries to job sites
Process and track RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project punch lists
Maintain and organize project documentation including contract drawings, specifications, proposals, and shop drawings
Coordinate with Accounting and Purchasing teams on material orders and vendor bookings
Assist with permit coordination, submittals, and compliance documentation
Support Superintendents and field teams with staging materials, tracking inventory, and updating project spreadsheets
Communicate professionally with customers to address questions or project updates
Help ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and properly documented
Previous administrative, office support, or coordination experience required
Experience in construction, electrical, low voltage systems, fire alarm, security systems, HVAC, or mechanical industries is a plus, but not required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to learn project management and construction software
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Dependable with strong attendance and time management
Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio
