Perform cost-effective inspections of structures with Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems.
Accurately complete all documentation related to inspections.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant NFPA standards, materials, and installation practices.
Conduct thorough inspections of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and associated components, including:
Wet and dry systems
Fire pumps
Pre-action systems
Deluge systems
Antifreeze loops
Backflow preventers
Inspect and service portable fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA 10.
Perform minor repairs on sprinkler systems, including head replacements, leak repairs, and overall system functionality checks.
Conduct minor repairs on fire alarm systems, including replacing detectors and resolving wiring issues.
Cross-train in other disciplines to support additional licensing requirements.
Sprinkler Systems
Familiarity with NFPA 13 (Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems).
Familiarity with NFPA 25 (Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems).
Ability to perform thorough inspections and tests to ensure regulatory compliance.
Fire Alarm Systems
Understanding of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
Knowledge of fire alarm components: detectors, control panels, notification devices, and associated wiring.
Portable Fire Extinguishers
Knowledge of NFPA 10 (Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers).
Ability to inspect, service, and maintain portable fire extinguishers for proper functionality.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection system inspection, maintenance, and repair (install/service experience is a plus).
