Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Technician. 

Responsibilities

 

• Perform inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.

• Perform service and repair work on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and other fire protection systems.

• Identify system deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings clearly to customers and management.

• Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, deficiency reports, and work orders in a timely manner.

• Perform backflow preventer inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and documentation as required by local authorities and applicable regulations.

• Assist with installation, modification, and repair of fire sprinkler piping, fittings, valves, hangers, and related components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, system drawings, specifications, and fire protection plans.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, lifts, and other equipment necessary to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently.

• Diagnose system malfunctions and perform corrective repairs with minimal supervision.

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory in a clean and organized condition.

• Coordinate with customers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades to ensure successful completion of assigned work.

• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in after-hours or on-call rotations as required.

• Maintain required certifications, licenses, and continuing education related to sprinkler systems, backflow prevention, and fire protection services.

• Follow all applicable NFPA standards, state and local regulations, and company quality standards.

• Perform sprinkler fitter duties including pipe installation, system modifications, equipment replacement, and support of construction and retrofit projects.

• Assist in training and mentoring apprentices and less experienced technicians when assigned.

Qualifications

  • Always maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude 

  • Possess organizational and time management skills 

  • Positive Customer Skills 

  • Good verbal and written communications skills (English) 

  • Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks 

  • Be able to lift 75lbs 

  • Be able to read construction documents 

  • General math skills 

  • Knowledge of construction/inspection tools and equipment 

  • must be able to pass periodic Background and security checks 

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license and Insurable (No high risk) as determined by company vehicle insurance carrier 

  • Be skilled at servicing and inspecting wet, dry, standpipe, fire pump, hydrants, and pre-action sprinkler systems per NFPA 25 standards as well as national, state, and local codes

Posted Salary Range

USD $40.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
